Max Low is the very talented illustrator of my nonsensical rhyming book I Like to Put Food In My Welly.

It turns out that when he accepted the job, he didn’t quite release what he’d let himself in for.

“I have to say that I struggled a little bit with some of the more psychedelic aspects of Jason’s writing,” he laughed. “I’ve never drawn a sea made of scales, or anything like that, before. Jam coming from a star, yes, some really out-there stuff from Jason.”

“I have to say that I struggled a little bit with some of the more psychedelic aspects of Jason’s writing”

But he rose to the challenge and we hope you enjoy what he came up with.

Come and see me and Max talking about the book at the Crickhowell Children’s Book Festival on 10th November.
